Red Squad For 6-8 Years
Our Red Squad introduces kids to tennis with soft balls and small courts, focusing on developing coordination, balance, speed, and agility. Kids begin to practice overarm serves and volleys and learn how to rally, making tennis fun and engaging. We also introduce them to relaxed competition, helping them gain confidence on the court. As they grow, their foundational skills will set the stage for more advanced play.
Orange Squad For 8-9 Years
The Orange Squad transitions kids from basic skills to more advanced gameplay. They start learning tactics and problem-solving and are guided in sportsmanship and leadership. By now, they will know all the rules and focus on serving and returning accurately, laying the foundation for competitive play. This stage is crucial for developing a well-rounded understanding of the game, including shot selection and on-court decision-making.
Green Squad For 9-10 Years
The Green Squad marks the transition to full-size courts. Kids work on refining the techniques they’ve learned so far, emphasising growing their game. This stage focuses on helping them act more independently on the court as they prepare for more advanced and competitive play. It’s a pivotal time for enhancing their skills, especially regarding footwork, court positioning, and strategic thinking.
Yellow Squad For 10+ Years
The Yellow Squad is for players ready to fully transition to full-size courts. The focus here is on perfecting techniques and advancing their strategic thinking. As they grow more confident and skilled, they are encouraged to take more control of their game, preparing them for more competitive tennis. This stage helps hone their ability to anticipate opponents' moves and develop solid and consistent strokes.
