What should I wear for the session, and what is provided?Wear: Comfortable sports clothes (t-shirt, shorts/leggings/tracksuit) and non-marking sports trainers. In colder months wear layers; in rainy weather bring a light waterproof jacket. A cap and sunscreen are useful in sunny conditions. Bring: A water bottle, and your own racket if you have one Provided: We supply tennis balls, all training equipment, and loan rackets if you don’t own one yet.

What adult level should I book? Here’s a quick guide: Beginner – New to tennis or just learning the basics (grips, strokes, footwork, scoring). Improver – Can rally and serve but still working on consistency and control. Intermediate – Confident rallying and serving, starting to use tactics and match play. Advanced – Strong consistency, tactics, and match experience. Competes socially or in tournaments. Mixed Courses (Improver & Intermediate) – Perfect for adult players who are past the beginner stage and want to progress together in a supportive environment. If you’re unsure, simply choose the level that feels closest to your ability — our coaches will make sure you’re in the right group.

What is the difference between the Beginner Course and Tennis Xpress?Beginner Course – Designed for absolute beginners or those returning after a long break. The focus is on building strong foundations: correct grips, basic strokes, footwork, and learning to rally. The pace is slower, with lots of repetition and guidance. Tennis Xpress – A fast-track adult starter programme endorsed by the LTA (Lawn Tennis Association). It’s ideal if you want to learn quickly and start playing matches within 6 weeks. Sessions cover serve, rally, and score, with more emphasis on game play and confidence to join social tennis or matches.
